New Archive Box
I have designed a new archive box that incorporates everything from {{archives}}, {{archive box}}, and {{archive box collapsible}}. I propose that this be the new code for {{archive box}}, and that {{archives}} and {{archive box collapsible}} translude it. Would people please test it out and see if there are any glitches or problems. I think I have tried every possible combination, but there might have been something that I missed. template failure?
Unlike the standard Template:Archive box, the collapsible version seems to be failing when you attempt to list archives that were created using the Permanent link archives method. The box is created but it never expands to show the archived links (though it does flicker slightly so something is happening.) See here for an example.
Can anyone figure out why? And, more importantly, can anyone fix it? Thanks. Rossami (talk) 13:11, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
Google custom search
{{Google custom}} can generate a link to search a set of archive pages. See Template:Google custom#How to search subpage trees within Wikipedia. This works for namespaces other than the article Talk: namespace, which Google does not index. I would like to add an optional search link to {{Archive box collapsible}}, but as this would affect many pages, I would like to discuss it here first. --Teratornis (talk) 20:37, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
Is there a need to show the "/"
{{editprotect}} The box displays as "/Archive 1". Is it possible to revise the template so that the box displays as "Archive 1" without the slash? [[/Archive 1|Archive 1]] works, but default should be without the slash. Thanks. -- Suntag ? 16:23, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

To make this as clear as possible: The [[/Archive]] code included the example {{Archive box collapsible|[[/Archive]]}} is merely a placeholder example for the various ways outlined in other sections of the documentation of how to include and format your actual archive links. Sandbox sync
{{editprotected}} Requesting sync with the sandbox to bring the styling of this template in line with the other archiving templates, specifically {{archives}}.
